Naya for first reported ‘missing’ after her son, Josey, was found July 8 floating alone on a boat that the two had rented for a fun afternoon at the lake. Although an autopsy report is still awaited, the Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the body was Rivera’s.
The police made the formal announcement early this morning, that triggered a flood of tributes on social media from the actress’ fans, friend and former co-stars. Apart from her ‘Glee’ co-stars penning moving tributes and notes of love for the beauty, her ‘Step Up: High Water’ co-stars and fellow musicians Ne-Yo and Terrence Green joined in as their grieved her loss.
Taking to his social media handle, Ne-Yo shared a solo photo of Naya, writing ‘Goodbye mama, we’ll miss you. And we’ll never forget you.’
Green, on the other hand, shared a video of Naya crooning ‘Amazing Grace’ on their show. The same was later shared by Ne-Yo on his handle.

Green also went to Lake Piru after after the actress’ body was found, and offered prayers by the lake. He shared a video of himself placing his hand in the water. The actor, who had a quiet birthday on Sunday, shared a throwback photo with Naya and wrote ‘my only bday wish is to find #NayaRivera.’
The stars worked together on two seasons of their show with a third season that was still to be determined following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Naya Rivera is survived by her parents, Yolanda and George; a younger brother, Mychal; a sister, Nickayla; and her 4-year-old son Josey.
